Lesson 1: Basic Grammar

1. Nouns (संज्ञा)

Nouns are words that name people, places, things, or ideas. In Hindi, these are known as संज्ञा।

  • Example: John, city, book, happiness
  • उदाहरण: राम, शहर, किताब, खुशी
2. Verbs (क्रिया)

Verbs are action words. In Hindi, these are known as क्रिया।

  • Example: run, eat, be
  • उदाहरण: दौड़ना, खाना, होना
3. Adjectives (विशेषण)

Adjectives describe nouns. In Hindi, these are known as विशेषण।

  • Example: beautiful, large
  • उदाहरण: सुंदर, बड़ा
4. Sentence Structure (वाक्य संरचना)

English: Subject + Verb + Object
Hindi: Subject + Object + Verb

  • English Example: She eats an apple.
  • Hindi Example: वह एक सेब खाती है।
5. Articles (लेख)

Articles are used before nouns. In Hindi, these are known as लेख।

  • Example: the apple, an apple
  • उदाहरण: वह सेब, एक सेब
6. Prepositions (पूर्वसर्ग)

Prepositions show relationship. In Hindi, these are known as पूर्वसर्ग।

  • Example: in, on, at
  • उदाहरण: में, पर, पर
