Gurugram, Haryana, India, May 2026 – BT Group has appointed Rashi Bhatla Chatrath as Head of People & Culture, India, strengthening its leadership team as the organization continues its modernization and transformation journey globally.
Rashi joins BT with extensive experience in talent management, HR transformation, compensation strategy, organizational leadership, and people partnering across global organizations. In her new role, she will lead people and culture initiatives for BT India, supporting workforce transformation, leadership capability building, employee experience, and strategic business alignment.
Before joining BT Group, Rashi spent nearly 12 years with American Express across multiple senior HR leadership roles. Most recently, she served as Vice President & Head – Talent, Brand & Regulatory Affairs and Senior HRBP, Global Services Group, where she led strategic people initiatives focused on talent, leadership, employer brand, and regulatory alignment.
Earlier at American Express, she served as Director & Head Talent Management – India Market & HRBP, Global Finance Functions, leading enterprise talent and leadership initiatives across the India market and finance functions. She also held the role of Director – Compensation & Benefits, India, driving compensation strategy and workforce effectiveness initiatives.
Her earlier roles at American Express included serving as Chief of Staff and Strategy to the CHRO, India, and as HR Business Partner supporting consumer, commercial, and merchant business functions, where she contributed extensively to leadership advisory, organizational effectiveness, and strategic HR transformation.
Prior to American Express, Rashi served as HR Head – GE Digital Energy P&L at GE Digital Energy and as HR Business Partner at GE Capital, where she supported business transformation and talent initiatives within financial services and technology operations.
She also worked with HCL Technologies as HR Business Partner – Corporate Functions, supporting global marketing, enterprise sales, technology, and large B2B deal functions.
Rashi holds an MBA in Human Resources & Marketing from FORE School of Management. She has also completed executive education programs in leadership and HR strategy from Indian School of Business, Harvard Business School, and Cornell University.
